Covid Phone App
Dr. Bonny Henry, Provincial Medical Health Officer, has recommended that people in B.C. download a Covid 19 pphone app that lets them know if they have been near someone with Covid.
The program is available at Covid.ca, or via the Google Play Store. I downloaded it to my phone. What it does is collect anonymous data about who has tested positive for Covid, and sends it out to peoples phones. Then phones Bluetooth each other, and let each other know if one of them has an owner with Covid. Which means that if you come within about 30 feet of someone with Covid who also has the app, your phone will let you know, and you have an extra reason to go and get checked.
