The Coffee Date
A young woman in the community used to read my newspaper articles, and wanted to date me.
Her sister and brother in law were patients of mine, and told her I was a great guy.
The only way she could think of to meet me was to make a few visits as a patient.
There was nothing much wrong with her, so I asked her why she kept making appointments.
She said because she wanted to date me. I recorded this in my office notes, and told her to quit making appointments.
She kept making appointments, which annoyed me, so I fired her.
She found another doctor, and had all her records transferred over.
Six months later she asked me to go for a coffee date.
It didn't go that well - I ended the date.

Several months after that she filed a civil suit against me for "rejecting her".
My lawyer told her lawyer "fuck off".
Then she complained to the College of Physicians and Surgeons
There was nothing against the rules in the date, but my lawyer suggested that I accept a six month suspension anyway, rather than fight it. Because the "College is out to get you".
They genuinely are - 4 seperate College Registrars have told me.
Three were on my side, and were warning me. The 4th hated me and was threatening me. All of these are on the record.

The suspension was supposed to be for 6 months.
The College illegally extended it to 15 months.
If I had known all the stuff that was going to happen as a result, I would never have agreed to be suspended.
The sister and the rest of the family remained patients of mine for years afterward.
